Reprogramming the subconscious mind

The subconscious mind is always running, think of it as if it’s running on auto pilot. Reprogramming the subconscious mind is necessary so that we can live more holistic lives. The subconscious is home to all sorts of psychic debris we’ve picked up along our life journey. Past relationship trauma, childhood issues, work stress etc. The more you begin to work with your subconscious mind the more you will begin to see that you truly are the creator of your own reality. Time after time quantum physics has shown us that we perceive is purely a hologram of a mental projection. With that being the case then its safe to say that what we think is external reality is truly an internal reality existing within the brain. So then do we ever experience true external reality, if there even exists such place? My answer is no. No, so long as we continue to exist within the limitations of the brain, denseness, matter. Anyway, that’s an entirely different convo. This post is about reprogramming that warehouse of stored energy.

Hypnosis- Granted, I now there are several skeptics out there who do not believe in hypnosis. Although I personally have never been hypnotized, I still believe in its power. I know it is something I have done in many previous lives.

Meditation- You do not have to be a zen master to work with the subconscious via mediation. I think a lot of people get discouraged when they first begin meditating because they don’t have any psychedelic type experiences upon the first try. The thing is, you may never have those experiences. Your divinity comes in a manner that resonates with your spirit. Some of us are more visually inclined, some auditory, kinesthetic etc. It varies from person to person. So my meditation experiences may differ from yours. But I will say that using guided meditation is truly an aide for those who struggle. You can guide yourself or have someone else guide you into a meditation geared for healing the psychic debris cluttering your subconscious. The power is in the intent folks!

Mantras- At first working with mantras may seem like nothing but trust me you are doing some serious brain training. As they say, it takes 21 days to break a habit, I would certainly suggest doing a specific mantra daily for 21 days. Doing this repetitively begins to encode the new ‘program’ within the subconscious mind. The subconscious energy is very subtle yet powerful. It doesn’t respond to brute force as we are so used to. Our approach to physical reality means nothing when dealing in the realm of the psyche.

Vision Boards- Same type deal with the mantras. Working with a vision board is the same way marketing industries get us to purchase all sorts of things we don’t need. Seeing the vision board every day to the conscious mind may seem like nothing, but those images are imprinted within the mind.

Dreams (my fav of course)- Thought exists in a very real place. We tend to think thoughts and never think twice about where they go. Please remember that everything is energy and that energy is never created nor destroyed. Whatever thought form you put out manifests as their own entities that exist within the mind. (ooh this sounds like an epic sci-fi story) As we dream we exist within this place, the things that plague us in our dreams are purely manifestations of our own thought forms. There are also different types of dreams and various levels to dreaming but I won’t get into that here. I like to draw images from my dreams, act them out, replay them in my mind but with a different outcome. You can get super creative here, the more creative juice the more you begin to delve into the realm of the right brain.

Ways to work with the subconscious mind:

These methods are to establish a relationship with the part of your mind you barely use.With these methods, they aren’t necessarily for reprogramming the mind with new info, its more so a matter of understanding what’s going on in the subconscious mind.

Activities that put us in an altered state of consciousness:

(writing, drawing, driving, walking, dancing etc)

When we do the things we like such as writing for example, it puts us into a mild trance state. This mild trance state grants access to the subconscious mind. It’s just like meditation but on a different frequency. Have you ever noticed while writing or drawing that you seem to pull inspiration seemingly out of no where? This is the subconscious mind at work. You are beginning to see the world you’ve created with your mind. Once you’ve gotten a feel for your subconscious mind you can begin to try to find specific information.

Here is a small practice you can do right now

This practice is called “Stream of Consciousness.” Set a time (if you have one) for 5 minutes, 10 minutes would be better but 5 would suffice for the first try. Think of something you want to know more information about. Example: What is blocking my creative potential? How can I attract more money into my life? What should my next big project be? Focus on one thing/idea/subject then remove all emotional attachment to whatever it is you’re writing about. Now you are ready to begin writing. Begin your timer and start writing. Write whatever comes to your mind, every single detail. Every time I do this I’m pretty much always thinking about food so my writings usually start out a bit like “hungry…stomach is roaring like a deranged hyena…what am I going to eat…” As time goes on I begin writing things randomly. Sometimes entire sentences, sometimes just one word. I’m also getting into analyzing handwriting so how you’ve written what you’ve written says a lot about you as well. This exercise can be equated to channeling, it is certainly training those intuitive muscles.
